What is it?
Kids Celebration is a live 30-60 minute interactive child centered event that combines group interaction, music, and awesome games to teach drug and alcohol awareness and basic values!

Purpose?
To challenge children to be different by making good choices. The program focuses on issues that every child needs to hear like drug and alcohol abuse, respect, honesty, kindness, self- esteem and safety. The children will participate in high energy, fun filled, interactive games.

Kids Celebration is directed by Dr. Bill Buchanan. Dr. Buchanan is an Associate Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies at Oklahoma Baptist University. He has taught at O.B.U. for the past twenty years. He has been a member of the Oklahoma Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. He has taught various seminars across the state regarding Physical Education in the classroom. He has written games for organizations such as Team Kids and TM412. Dr. Buchanan challenges his students to think of non-traditional methods to teach in their classroom. Dr. Buchanan is acutely aware of the issues that children are facing in the 21st century. His goal is to use group interaction, music, and awesome games to challenge children to be different by making positive choices in their lives.
